How To Register Yout Pet

First: Get your pet vaccinated against rabies at your veterinary office. Contact your veterinarian for an appointment for a rabies vaccine.

Second: Simply mail two copies of the rabies certificate to:

Include the appropriate fee (check or money order) or stop by the shelter to purchase your tag. You can only obtain a 3 year registration tag if you got a 3 year rabies vaccine. We do not accept online or over the phone payment at this time.

Local/State laws require registration – so don’t forget to get your tag!

Veterinarians located within Tazewell County offer registration tags at the time of vaccination.  No other action is necessary if you obtain a tag from your vet’s office.

Rabies tags can be used to identify found pets. We also recommend getting your pet microchipped and registering the microchip in the county to assist with getting found pets home.  Call us and ask about our free microchipping.
